All Sims Supportive Services positions require background investigation, Virginia Board of Counseling certification, professional reference checks, criminal history record check and/or DMV driving record check, One year of experience in the field, CPR certification, Behavior management certification, Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology or related field. Virginia’s barrier crime laws prohibit persons convicted of certain statutorily-defined crimes from obtaining employment with certain employers, mostly those employers specializing in the care of vulnerable populations, such as children, the elderly, and those with mental disabilities.
